Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a concept that emphasizes the importance of companies taking responsibility for their impact on society and the environment. The DV Education group has proposed a CSR plan for the year 2023-2034 that aims to make a positive impact in the areas of Education, Health and Well-being, and Women’s empowerment.
In the area of Education, the DV Education group plans to provide quality education and skills training to underprivileged children and youth in Nepal. They plan to provide full/partial scholarships to two students per unit every year, totaling eight years in total. Additionally, they are adopting a school in the outskirts of Kathmandu for a 5-year program. The DV Education group plans to provide the school with amenities and resources such as health camps, library, classroom desks and chairs, drinking water filter systems, bathrooms, uniforms, stationery, and teacher training.
In the area of Health and Well-being, the DV Education group plans to promote health awareness in the communities they serve. They plan to organize a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk in October 2023 to raise awareness and provide free cancer screening to interested participants. Additionally, they plan to conduct Uterine Prolapse Health Camps, Screening and Awareness events every three months in nearby villages to provide medical services and awareness to women facing the problem of uterine prolapse.
In the area of Women’s Empowerment, the DV Education group plans to empower women and marginalized communities by providing them with access to resources and opportunities. They plan to organize women's skill-building workshops, trainings, entrepreneurship programs, and mentorship sessions to enable them to achieve their full potential and become self-reliant. Additionally, they plan to provide household trainings for small groups of women in baking, barista, cookie making, stitching, interpersonal skill development, and other courses.
The objectives of the DV Education group’s CSR plan are to create a positive impact on society and the environment by promoting sustainable development, providing education and skills training to underprivileged children and youth, promoting health awareness, and empowering women and marginalized communities. The learning outcomes of the CSR plan will be that the underprivileged children and youth will have access to quality education and skills training, women and marginalized communities will have access to resources and opportunities to become self-reliant, and communities will have increased awareness of health issues. The expected outcomes of the CSR plan will be that there will be a positive impact on society and the environment, underprivileged children and youth will have increased access to education and skills training, women and marginalized communities will be empowered, and communities will be more aware of health issues.
